To serve as a “platform” for academic exchanges and professional development of its members;
To serve as a "bridge" for promotion of science and technology exchanges and collaborations between Switzerland and China and among the members of CASTS;
To promote friendships and communications among members and to enhance greater understanding of Chinese traditional culture in Switzerland
