瑞士中国学人材料科学与能源科技协会2018年博士论坛活动顺利召开

瑞士中国学人材料科学与能源科技协会2018年博士论坛活动于7月29日在苏黎世联邦理工学院顺利召开。来自瑞士各地材料与能源相关专业的五十余名学界、工业界的协会成员代表出席了会议。本次学术会议在马欢博士的主持下进行。首先协会会长曲军博士简要介绍瑞士中国学人材料科学与能源科技协会的组织构成和活动宗旨。作为瑞士中国学人科技协会(CASTS)的分支组织机构,瑞士中国学人材料科学与能源科技协会(CAMSETS)自2013年成立以来不断壮大、发展迅速,现有会员120人。借助瑞士材料及能源科学领域的华人学生学者的专业优势,协会致力于通过开展各项材料及能源科学领域的科技活动及服务、支持该领域专业人士的不同需求的各种活动, 促进中瑞材料与能源科学领域青年学者之间的交流与沟通。紧接着,邀请的四位报告人针对自己所在的领域进行了介绍。报告题目和内容包括:

  • 珠宝的鉴赏与鉴定,周渭博士,瑞士珠宝研究院(SSEF);

周渭博士首先简要的介绍了瑞士珠宝研究院作为一个非盈利机构的工作范畴。然后结合自己的经历和研究非常详细的介绍了各种宝石的鉴定方法以及各种方法的可靠性。最后她向观众展示了最近几年自己在瑞士珠宝研究院鉴定的珠宝样品。

  • 微量元素分析在珠宝鉴定中的应用,王昊博士,瑞士珠宝研究院(SSEF);

王昊博士用非常简单易懂的语言从专业的角度介绍了珠宝中各种微量元数对珠宝外观和实际价值的影响。并着重报告了瑞士珠宝研究院各种先进的微量元数分析仪器和方法,如红外光坡和X-射线光谱等。

  • 蓝宝石和假蓝宝石的“地心游记”博士,王浩铮博士,苏黎世理工(ETH);

王浩铮博士用一种科普的方式幽默的介绍了地球地质变迁对形成蓝宝石和假蓝宝石的影响。并结合了自己的研究经历,着重介绍自己的研究成果: 我国山东地区蓝宝石和假蓝宝石的形成过程的研究。

·       现当代珠宝设计与制造工艺,姜燕女士,古柏林珠宝(Gübelin)

姜燕女士首先介绍缘何珠宝设计在一战前夕拥有了繁荣的发展,并着重讲讲了当时两种非常独特的设计风格,以及对现代珠宝设计的影响。最后她还对传统珠宝制造工艺和先进的三维立体打印技术进行了深入的对比。

 

所有报告的内容由浅入深,报告人的报告语言专业幽默,引起与会成员的极大兴趣与积极讨论。

The 2018Doctor Forum of Chinese Association ofMaterials Science and Energy Technology in Switzerland

On July. 29 2018, the Chinese Association ofMaterials Science and Energy Technology in Switzerland (CAMSETS) held its 2018 DoctorForum in the ETH Zurich. More than fifty members from academia and industriesacross Switzerland participated in the meeting. First, Dr. Jun Qu, who is theChairman of CAMSETS, gave a short talk about this interesting event. Finally,all the guests communicated and exchanged the ideas with each other about theacademic issues.

Founded in 2013 as a subsidiaryof CASTS (Chinese Association of Science and Technology in Switzerland), theChinese Association of Materials Science and Energy Technology in Switzerland(CAMSETS) has undergone rapid development in the last three years and currentlyhas 120 members. Committed to building a quality communication andcollaboration platform for young materials and energy science pioneers inSwitzerland and potentially expanding it globally, we’ve devoted enormousefforts in organizing various scientific seminars and events relating tomaterials and energy science, as well as assorted activities to facilitatescientists’ researches and their efforts on commercialization of theirinnovations. Finally, four invited speakers reported their research projectsand result, interesting and professorial. The names and titles of the invitedspeakers are:

 

1. Dr. Wei Zhou from SSEF, Title: Appreciation andIdentification of the Jewelry

Dr. Wei Zhou first introduced the working andresearch area of SSEF as non-profit institute in Switzerland. After that, sheexplained the reliability of different analysis methods on the identificationand valuation of the jewelries. Several images and identification results ofjewelry samples which she worked on in last several years were finallypresented to the audiences.

 

2. Dr. Hao Wang from SSEF, Title: The Application ofAnalysis of Microelements on Identification of the Jewelry

Dr. Hao Wang discussed first how many kinds ofmicroelements in the jewelry normally and how greatly they can influence thevalues using his easy and understandable language. Then he highlighted thedifferent techniques in SSEF which are being used in identification ofmicroelements in jewelry, for exapme FTIR and X-ray spectrum.

 

3. Dr. Haozheng Wang from ETH Zurich, Title: TheJourney of Sapphire and Sapphirine in the Earth

Dr. Haozheng presented the audiences the popularscience and knowledge of the geography and crust in his humor language. Combininghis own research experience and outcome, he introduced the process of formationof Sapphire and Sapphirine in Shan Dong province in China in detail.

4. Miss. Yan Jiang from Gübelin, Title: ModernJewelry Design and Manufacture Technology

Miss. Yan Jiang talked about the reason why theJewelry design had the fruitful develop before the First World War, andpresented two main, but special, design fashions at that time, including theidea and influence at that time and now. She finally introduced and comparedthe old technology on jewelry manufacture and newly developed 3D printingtechnology.

 

After the academic reports, the members had acomprehensive discussion and form the next activity plan.
